Advertisement for a post of post-doctoral researcher
National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune a constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi for its Complex Fluids and Polymer Engineering group is looking for a bright young post-doctoral researcher to independently drive a comprehensive experimental research program on investigating instabilities in large amplitude oscillatory shear (LAOS) flows of complex fluids. The researcher is expected to build and validate experimental LAOS set up with simultaneous flow visualization using both stress-controlled and strain-controlled rheometers available in our group, and analyze the time series data so obtained in order to understand the nature and origin of the instabilities.

The candidate should have a Ph.D. in Physics/ Chemical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering from a reputed university/ institute. Experience in theoretical and experimental fluid dynamics will be preferred. The position is open for a period of one year. The selected candidate will be hired under NCL’s enhanced post-doctoral fellowship program which provides a salary of Rs 35,000/- per month. Additionally, the selected candidate will be eligible for a bonus of Rs 70,000/- at the end of one year. The candidate should preferably be under the age of 30 years at the time of applying to the position.
